On the top of San Diego’s Cortez Hill sits the prestigious El Cortez Don Room and one of the city’s greatest landmarks. Since 1927, Presidents Dwight D. Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, Bill Clinton and Barack Obama have all entertained in the 24k Don Room which boasts 1920’s flare. From the 24k gold carved ceilings to the beautiful hardwood floors this venue is nothing short magnificent and is not lacking for character and history.
Guests arrived in style and were greeted at the door by 1920’s flapper dancers as the Mighty Untouchables played some modern big band tunes. The aerial silk performers behind the bar were climbing and twirling as no one had ever seen before and the contortionist was bending in ways you couldn’t imagine. The night came alive in an instant and everyone felt as if they were truly living through the prohibition.
San Diego Events Company put together a spectacular event from top to bottom which left all the guests in complete awe.
Everyone was dressed from head to toe in pearls, sequins and 1920’s style!
