They met briefly at a conference after she returned from 11 months overseas but it only took Neil a few moments to know that Andi would be his bride. She returned to Kentucky expecting a few moments of friendship to be what they were but Neil spent the next few months pursuing her as no one had before. He wrote her letters, sent her on adventures, planning evening face-time dates and traveled to see her every weekend that he could. They fell in love beautifully which led to a ring on her finger, a lifetime commitment and a big move to where he lived.
They plan the most romantic dates, they host dinners for their friends, they travel the world sharing their gifts but–on what was supposed to be a rainy day in Georgia–Andi and Neil were the center of attention. So often they give to others and care beyond themselves, but on their wedding day, they were surrounded by the power of love.
Andi woke up that morning with the same faith and determination I’ve also seen in her beloved Neil, that even if it was pouring rain she was going to marry the man of her dreams outside with the mountains as her backdrop. The morning was full of curlers, mimosas, laughter, and rain reports, her bridesmaids being the wonderful friends that they are always reported that it was going to be perfect, despite the drizzle.
Neil waited for Andi on the front porch of the beautiful historic farm house, anxious as he heard her giggle from around the corner. His face was completely overcome with heavenly joy when he looked upon his bride. She was stunning and they melted into each others’ arms and forgot the world existed. On their wedding day, just like the hundreds of days before it, they knew they could face anything as long as they remained faithful, trusting and intentional..and it was only made better when the inclusion of their friends, family, and a DJ that rocked the party!
Neil and Andi, thank you for the honor of documenting your love. Being your friend has been an honor and watching your fall in love has been a privilege! I wish you the best as you navigate life together. Much Love and Appreciation!
